Host Your Own Poker Night
The history of poker is a matter of some debate. The name of the game is likely descended from the French poque, which descended from the German pochen (to knock; also means to brag in Dutch). Yet it is not clear whether the origins of poker itself lie with the games bearing those names. It closely resembles the Persian game of as nas, and may have been taught to French settlers in New Orleans by Persian sailors. It is commonly regarded as sharing ancestry with the Renaissance game of primero and the French brelan. The English game brag clearly descended from brelan and incorporated bluffing (though the concept was known in other games by that time). It is quite possible that all of these earlier games influenced the development of poker as it exists now. So there you go, you learn something new every day!
Saying all that, who cares about the mumbo jumbo of yesteryear?! All we know is that its a great game and there is no better way of spending an evening than going to the local casino with your buddies and having a good old game of poker. But thanks to the mighty box, you no longer have to go to the trouble of sorting out a taxi, what time youre going to meet your mates there and sorting a time for the taxi to pick you up, because ladies and gentlemen, Prezzybox will bring the casino to you!
Thats right! We are giving you an opportunity you surely wont want to miss. For this superb price, a professional poker dealer will come direct to your home complete with a casino-quality table, cards, chips (poker chips that is, not the edible kind!) chairs and set up for a great evening of poker. All you need to do is provide the players! Its as simple as that!
You get 5 hours of playing time with the professional dealer and up to 10 people can join in at any one time. If there are more of you the dealer will organise a suitable system so that you all get a game. So... if you enjoy playing poker at home but dont like the hassle of self-dealing and want to run a sophisticated poker night to entertain clients or impress your mates, this is the way to go. It is ideal for having birthday parties, stag and hen parties or nights in with friends in your own home and have the odd drink here and there, and probably a few more to celebrate beating your mates! As its hosted in your own place youre free to eat, drink and wear what you like!
Please note: After ordering you will receive a voucher with details of how to book the dealer on the date you require.
