The Minilamp is certainly striking. Made from mouth blown glass the Minilamp looks like a traditional bedside lamp. Both sweet and modern. Minilamp changes colour beautifully through the full colour spectrum. Made of mouth blown glass and LEDs, Minilamps effect is controlled by a computer chip. In keeping with the Mathmos modern approach to design and mood, to turn off the Minilamp simply press down on the top. Marvelous.

The Air Switch from Mathmos really is in a league of its own when it comes to modern technology and style.
Air switch lamps use Mathmos Air switch technology to enable you to turn on/off and brighten/dim the light without needing to fumble around for the switch. The lights use a sensor to determine where you hand is in relation to it and adjusts the light accordingly. Move your hand vertically towards the light and it will dim, away and it will brighten, horizontally across the sensor beams and it will turn on and off.
Bright enough to read by Air switch tc makes a unique bedside or desk lamp.
Simply move your hand horizontally through the air above the lamp to turn it on and off. To dim and brighten Air switch tc move your hand vertically towards and away from the lamp. one word... WOW!

Part of this wonderful collection is the Mathmos Aduki ni outdoor/indoor light. When turned off aduki ni looks like a totally metallic bean, heavy and perfect to hold in the hand. Turn aduki ni on and it comes alive changing through a spectrum of colours. Aduki ni is rechargeable lasting 6-8 hours without a lead making it a portable mood light.
It is designed to be used both indoors and out and is splash proof, ideal for use in the garden in the summer.

Mathmos Thaw
Mathmos are famous for their unusual and beautifully designed lighting range. Both elegant and modern their ability to create mood and style is unparalleled. The exceedingly exceptional Thaw Candle surpasses all unusual ways to light a room. You literally freeze your own candle and watch it melt away creating wonderful flickers of candle light around the room (plus its completely safe!).
So how does it work?
Place the water filled mould in the freezer for 8 hours. The ice then sits above the mould and the stainless steel collar and is illuminated by the candle from within. As the ice thaws the water melts back down in to the mould taking about the same time as the life of the tea light. Each time you use Thaw the shape of the ice, the way it melts and the way it holds the candle light will be different.
